What is it?
Vedic Maths offers an alternative way to compute mathematical calculations which are significantly faster than traditional approach. However, the true benefit of Vedic Maths stems from the fact that it significantly increases mental prowess of an individual. Once the mental prowess is enhanced it automatically spreads across disciplines and one may stand to gain both professionally and personally over their life time.

When did it start?
The vedic logic or vedic sutras, as called traditionally, were based on a thesis created by a mathematician from India, a few centuries ago. Since then it has been adopted globally by individuals and organizations. However, it still has to find its due place in mainstream mathematics as not enough emphasis has been given to it and only re-surfaces as a hidden gem by individual endeavors.

Who is teaching Vedic Maths?
ExcelSteam, a not for profit, has taken up the mantle to teach Vedic Mathematics responsibly to anyone who is interested in the topic.
It is important to teach Vedic Maths in a structured approach. Total number of sutras/logic structure is sixteen till date and ExcelSteam runs weekly sessions that progressively builds upon a topic in a non-rushed manner. Whom is it for?
There is no age for learning per an old adage and same is true for Vedic Maths. While there is no upper limit there is a pre-requisite to start learning Vedic Maths. And, the pre-requisite is knowing traditional way to count numbers and able to comprehend basic computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Even though there are three stages to Vedic Maths - Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced, everyone including a Maths PHD will need to start at the Elementary and travel the journey to become an Advanced Vedic Mathematician.
